Jeni started teaching swim lessons when she was 16 and has moved through the ranks to include 15+ years of experience in high school and NCAA levels, including launching the Florida Tech swim program and coaching at FIU, St. Francis and Ohio State, she currently is the head coach of Creekside High School girls swimming. Coach Ritter hopes to bring unmatched energy to our team. She currently leads aquatic operations at UNF and still competes in masters swimming!
Summer’s swimming journey began at the age of 5 in Saint Johns County and continued for 18 years. She swam Division 1 at LSU, later going on to swim & complete graduate school at the University of Utah. She is a 2x Olympic Trials qualifier in the 200 backstroke and an NCAA Championship qualifier in the 200 backstroke, 200 IM, and 200 butterfly.
Summer gained valuable coaching experience working with Utah Swim Camps and Stroke Clinics, as well as volunteering with the UFIT Adaptive Youth Sports program. She is passionate about helping young swimmers build their confidence both in and out of the pool. Summer currently assists in coaching the developmental groups at SwimRise Aquatics, where she helps swimmers build strong fundamentals in all four competitive strokes.
When she’s not on the pool deck, you’ll find her working her cybersecurity job or playing fetch with her golden retriever.
Viktoriya began her swimming journey in Russia soon after turning 6 years old. By the age of 14, she became the Siberian State champion and record holder in the 1500 Freestyle, 800 Freestyle, and 200 Butterfly. By the age of 16 she was a Russian Championship qualifier and finalist.
After moving to the US at age of 18, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut where she was a scholarship swimmer at the NCAA Division II school.
Viktoriya moved to Shearwater in 2022 and is thrilled to be able to channel her great passion for swimming to help the coaches and children enjoy and improve the training process. Her goal is to have kids leave the practice with a bigger smile than they started with, and she is honored to be part of the Shearwater Sharks Swim Team
