    Updated Meet Entries

    Good morning Sharks,

Please disregard the previous emails from yesterday. After sending our entries, a meet template overrode our age setting, causing many swimmers to be swimming in the wrong age group. Thankfully, we have fixed this problem and it should not happen in the future. Because I had to resubmit entries, I was able to attend to most of your requests of adding or changing events. However, in the future, I will not be able to edit any entries or add any swimmers after the written deadline.

We will no longer be sending out an individual entries sheet or psych sheet out. The only document containing the event information that will be sent out is the heat sheet. The heat sheet is usually sent out the night before, sometimes earlier. From now on, if you would like to view your swimmer’s events before the heat sheet, you can do so through the app or website.

    To view on app:

Open app > click on first virtual meet > events should appear

    To view on website:

Open website > Swim meets tab > Meet sign up calendar > Click meet entry for First Virtual meet > events should pop up

To clear any confusion, swimmers are now allowed to swim a total of 5 events. They are allowed to swim up to 4 individual events. For example, a swimmer could swim 3 individual events and 2 relays or 4 individual events and one relay, but not swim 5 individual events. This is a rule for this season only. In previous years, swimmers were only allowed to swim a total of 4 events.

As it is our first meet of the season against other teams, I have entered most swimmers under the age of 12 in only freestyle and backstroke events. This will allow them to start the season off with races they are confident about while we continue to master the other strokes.

Looking forward to a great first meet of the season and excited to see everyone on the pool deck this Saturday!

    Coach Amelia
