Sharks Swimmer Evaluations and Practice Information
Hello Shark Families! We are only two weeks away from the first practice of the season!
All NEW swimmers must attend the new swimmer evaluation being held on Saturday, April 16th between 8:30-10:00am. If your new swimmer cannot attend during this time, please reach out to me or James Hale at [email protected].
Swim Ability Expectations:
- Ages 8 and Under: Swim one length of the pool unassisted
- 9 and Up: Swim two lengths of the pool for both freestyle and backstroke
Please note that the evaluation is not a “try out” and will be used as a means to ensure your swimmer is placed into the best-fit group based on both age and ability.
Q: What should my swimmer wear to practice?
A: Girls should wear a one-piece suit without ruffles or hanging decorations. Boys should wear jammer style shorts or similar.
Q: What equipment should my swimmer bring to practice?
A: Goggles, swim cap, junior kickboard, and pull buoys for all age groups. Swim fins are encouraged for ages 9 and Up (Groups 3 and 4).
