Good Morning Shark Parents!

We’re excited to kick off the season with our Mock Meet on Saturday, May 10th, from 7:00 AM to approximately 10:00 AM at the Shearwater lap pool. We ask that all swimmers and parents attend this important event.

🏊 What is a Mock Meet?

A mock meet is a practice swim meet designed to help swimmers, parents, and volunteers understand how a real meet runs. Swimmers will compete in official events, and participation will count toward the required 3 meets needed to qualify for the Champs Meet at The Bolles School in July.

✅ What You Need To Do:

1. Declare Your Swimmer’s Availability

• Log in and sign up to declare your swimmer's attendance for the mock meet by  noon on Tuesday, May 6th. You can do this through the website or the Swimtopia ap Declaring swimmer (We will send out a reminder this week for those who haven't declared)
• This is mandatory. If your swimmer is not declared by the deadline, they will be ineligible to participate.
• You will need to declare for each meet throughout the season.

2. Volunteer for a Meet Job

• Sign up for a volunteer position through the website or ap. We need about 40 volunteers to run a meet! Volunteer sign up
• The mock meet is a perfect chance to learn a role in a lower-pressure setting—don’t be shy!

3. Read "Swim Meet 101"

• Please take a few minutes to read swim meet 101 for helpful info about what to bring, how meets work, and tips for success.

We’ll also be taking our team photo during the mock meet. Swimmers will receive their team shirt and swim cap that morning. They should wear the shirt over their suit for the photo.
