Dear Shearwater Sharks Families,

We are thrilled to share some exciting news — the Shearwater Sharks are welcoming two amazing new coaches to our team, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Coach Jeni Ritter

Coach Jeni brings serious experience and contagious energy to our program. She began teaching swim lessons at 16 and has over 15 years of coaching experience at the high school and NCAA levels, including helping launch the Florida Tech swim program and coaching at FIU, St. Francis, and Ohio State. She is currently the Head Coach of the Creekside High School girls team, leads aquatic operations at UNF, and still competes in Masters swimming herself!

Coach Summer

Summer’s swimming journey started at age 5 right here in St. Johns County and took her all the way to Division I swimming at LSU and graduate school at the University of Utah. She’s a 2x Olympic Trials qualifier and an NCAA Championship qualifier in multiple events. With experience coaching swim camps, stroke clinics, and adaptive youth sports, Summer is passionate about helping swimmers grow in confidence — in and out of the pool.

Both coaches bring incredible passion, knowledge, and positive energy to the deck, and we can’t wait for our swimmers to learn, grow, and have fun with them this season.
